“Little Birds Flying” is a political art project, a statement made through art. It is a broad and pervasive metaphor that addresses the different levels and layers of the political, social, and economic conflict in Venezuela, which has resulted in an unprecedented exodus of its citizens around the world, and especially to Colombia.

 

This is an ephemeral, in situ installation, continuously constructed by the group and circulating over time, consisting of an initial flock of 1500 origami birds made from Venezuelan migrant banknotes; made for this version by Venezuelan migrant artisans, accompanied by their life stories.
