Migrants (2019 - 2026)

Migrants is a meta-narrative of an appropriation.

This is a project that speaks of the failure of our social, political, and economic structures in Latin America due to the incapacity and corruption of our rulers, which forces its citizens to seek their future in other societies, even risking their lives.

The installation of “collapsed” blocks symbolizes our societies, and the statuettes speak of the Latin American context, its values and popular culture; while reminding us of the stories and absences due to historical and contemporary migration.

The work emerges as a meta-narrative of D. Judd's work through the eyes of Venezuelan Oscar Pabón; the montage refers to our urban landscape from our own materiality and territory.
