Sergio Mendoza is a contemporary artist based in Bogota, Colombia. His work explores architecture, memory and material in their interstices, edges, boundaries, and the power relations residing on them, this due to his studies and former professional practice as architect. 2018 M.F.A. Master in Fine Arts.

He approaches technique as the materialization of thought and concept, dismantling realities and enabling new perspectives on the everyday, the unnoticed, and what lies beneath the many layers of "normality."

Awarded second place at I Biennal de Cundinamarca 2023, winner of the 2022 Valientes Arts Grant from the Secretariat of Habitat and IDARTES, recipient of the 2019 ARTBO Tutor Program scholarship, selected for Spotlights 2018 at the BARCÚ Art and Culture Fair, he has exhibited at Chambers of Commerce in Bogotá, the Casa de Bolívar Museum in Cartagena de Indias, among other exhibitions.
